Program Overview

The MBA + PGP in AI is a program curated by GEMS B SCHOOL in collaboration with KPMG. This is the very first and only programme in Artificial Intelligence offered by Industry and Academia collaboratively. This is a Work-Study programme than enables the student to learn the course 70% practically and 30% theoretically. This is a Hands-on practical programme delivered by experts from the Industry including AI experts from KPMG.

Programme Concept

GEMS B SCHOOL in Association with KPMG in India proudly launches one of the first Management programmes in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is a 2 year work-study MBA + PGP program in Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the Beginning of the course, the student is placed with a company in a Domain of his/her choice to enable 70% practical learning and 30% theoretical learning related to the domain. Monday to Friday the student works in this company. Saturday and Sunday attends classes in the college. At the end of 2 years, the student gets an MBA + PGP in AI with 2 years of relevant Domain experience. The student will be paid a salary and will be in a full time job.

The entire delivery of AI modules will be done by KPMG in India.

The student will be awarded a dual qualification in this course, One MBA Degree from a UGC recognised NAAC accredited Indian University in the chosen domain and a Post Graduate Program Certification (PGP) in AI from KPMG along with 2 years of relevant domain experience.

On the strength of these qualifications students can apply for employment in the Private sector, Public sector and Overseas as well.

Fees is payable in 8 easy instalments. Hostel accommodation available in the campus. Students will be taken on an outbound workshop as a part of the course curriculum.

International Progression (Optional)

GEMS B SCHOOL’s strategic partnerships with reputed International Universities enables students enrolling for the Industry Synergised MBA program for a course progression into an MBA program at one of these International Universities.

GEMS B SCHOOL currently has International Pathway agreements with University of Sunderland – UK, Roosevelt University – USA and La Trobe University – Australia.

Students can complete the first year of their MBA at GEMS B SCHOOL and progress to one of these Universities for the final year to get an MBA from that respective University.

The International progression is only for students who are interested in this option and is not mandatory for all. Students enrolling for the Industry synergised MBA have time upto one year to decide whether they would like to choose this option or not.

What kind of companies and roles are students placed in during and after the MBA+PGP in AI program? ▼
During the program, students are placed in jobs related to their chosen domain such as Marketing, Finance, HR etc. Students of GEMS are placed in organisations such as Accenture, KPMG, Paychex, Zepto, ANZ, Wells Fargo, Stripe, Novo Nordisk India Pvt Ltd, Entomo etc. Freshers are placed in entry level roles while students with work experience will be placed in roles based on their work experience.
After the MBA program, MBA+PGP in AI students from GEMS usually join highly reputed organisations with attractive packages, thanks to the two years of experience and skills they gain during the two year work study program.
How much salary can a student expect during and after the MBA+PGP in AI program? ▼
During the MBA, fresher students start with a salary between 2 lakhs and 4.8 lakhs per annum. Students with prior work experience will start with higher salaries based on their work experience. Students will be eligible for pay hikes as per company policies as they progress during the program.
After the program, students start with packages between 8 lakhs and 10 lakhs per annum based on their performance during the program. Students with prior experience earn much higher packages upon completion of the program which has gone upto over 25 lakhs per annum.
Is the placement guaranteed during and after the MBA+PGP in AI program? ▼
Yes, every student joining GEMS certainly gets placed. However, the placement will depend on the calibre of the student. Whether the student gets placed in a multinational company, Tier-2 or Tier-3 company will depend on the calibre and performance of the student.
After completion of the program, students of GEMS don’t find it hard to get placed in reputed companies with high packages because they already have 2 years of work experience.

What’s the placement process like and how soon after joining the MBA+PGP in AI program will i get my placement? ▼
The placement process starts with a Psychometric Analysis to help you figure out your domain followed by a communication assessment and two rounds of counselling with our Dean and Director of Placements. After which, you will be put through a placement training for one whole week and then your interviews will start. Students normally get placed and start working in about 7 days to 30 days from the day their Interviews start.
What kind of faculties will teach me? ▼
All faculties who teach at GEMS are subject matter experts in their respective fields with a minimum of 15 years industry experience. Also the AI tools will be taught by the experts from KPMG.
What will be the timing of the classes? ▼
Students will have classes for 4 to 6 hours on a Saturday and 4 to 6 hours on a Sunday in the GEMS Campus.
What is the overall fees for this MBA+PGP in AI program? ▼
The total fees of this program is INR 8,40,000 payable in 8 instalments. This includes the tuition fees and examination fees.

On successful completion of this program students gain an MBA degree from University of Mysore, which is a Government of Karnataka owned University that is UGC recognised, AICTE approved and NAAC Accredited. On the strength of this degree students can certainly apply for jobs in India and abroad in the private or public sector.

The GEMS Admission Test (GAT) consists of 200 business aptitude questions covering areas such as English Grammar, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and General Knowledge. Students must secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify. The test has a total duration of 80 minutes.
