This is an 18 Months, Earn – Learn – Earn / Work – Study – Work Program. Work & Study 12 months in GEMS B School Bangalore and 6 months in University of Sunderland. At the end of the Course (After 18 Months) get a Full Time International MBA from University of Sunderland in Sunderland or London with 18 months of Work Experience.

First 12 months in GEMS B School Bangalore

  • Join the MBA and get immediate job placement in Bangalore.
  • Work Monday to Friday and attend classes on Saturdays and Sundays during the first 12 months.
  • Job placement will be aligned with your chosen specialization, providing 5 days of practical exposure and 2 days of classroom learning.
  • Full-time job placement with a full-time salary.
  • First 12 months' fees can be paid in 4 easy installments. Hostel accommodation is available on campus.

Last 6 months in University of Sunderland in Sunderland or London

  • Move to Sunderland or London and get a paid part-time job.
  • Work and study while completing the remaining course in the UK.
  • Last 6 months' fees can be paid in 2 easy installments.
  • Hostel accommodation will be arranged.
  • Graduate with a full-time International MBA from the University of Sunderland and gain 18 months of work experience.

Also now, students will be eligible to stay back in the UK for 18 more months in addition to the 1 year student visa, under the new Graduate Immigration Route.

During the 1st year of the program, students are placed in jobs related to their chosen specialisation such as Marketing, Finance, HR etc. Students of GEMS are placed in organisations such as Accenture, KPMG, TATA Elxsi, Novo Nordisk, ANZ, Swiggy etc. Freshers are placed in entry level roles while students with work experience will be placed in roles based on their work experience.
How much salary can a student expect during the 1st year of the British MBA program? ▼
During the 1st year of the British MBA program, fresher students start with a salary between 2 lakhs and 4.8 lakhs per annum. Students with prior work experience will start with higher salaries based on their work experience. Students will be eligible for pay hikes as per company policies as they progress during the program.
Is the placement guaranteed during the 1st year of the British MBA program? ▼
Yes, every student joining GEMS certainly gets placed. However, the placement will depend on the calibre of the student. Whether the student gets placed in a multinational company, Tier-2 or Tier-3 company will depend on the calibre and performance of the student.

What’s the placement process like and how soon after joining the British MBA program will i get my placement? ▼
The placement process starts with a Psychometric Analysis to help you figure out your specialisation followed by a communication assessment and two rounds of counselling with our Dean and Director of Placements. After which, you will be put through a placement training for one whole week and then your interviews will start. Students normally get placed and start working in about 7 days to 30 days from the day their Interviews start.

The GEMS Admission Test (GAT) consists of 200 business aptitude questions covering areas such as English Grammar, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and General Knowledge. Students must secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify. The test has a total duration of 80 minutes.
Since this is an 18-month program, does it carry the same weightage and academic credits as a 24-month program? ▼
Yes, it carries the same weightage because all the MBA programs in UK are one year programs.
Do I compulsorily have to go to UK to get my MBA degree or can I do it while staying in India? ▼
Yes. The program is structured for 18 months, with a mandatory UK phase. For the first 12 months, students study in Bangalore while continuing their regular work on weekdays and attending MBA classes on weekends. After completing this phase, students will move to the UK for the final 6 months to continue their studies at the University of Sunderland.
Do I get placed in a job at the start of the program just as in the industry synergised MBA ? ▼
