This is a 2 year, Earn – Learn – Earn / Work – Study – Work Program. Work & Study the 1st year at GEMS B School Bangalore and 2nd year at Roosevelt University (Heller College of Business) Chicago, USA. At the end of the Course get a Full Time International MBA from Roosevelt University (Heller College of Business) along with the work experience gained during the program. Employment in the 2nd year will be subject to the policies and guidelines of the F1 student Visa.

What’s the placement process like and how soon after joining the American MBA program will i get my placement? ▼
The placement process starts with a Psychometric Analysis to help you figure out your specialisation followed by a communication assessment and two rounds of counselling with our Dean and Director of Placements. After which, you will be put through a placement training for one whole week and then your interviews will start. Students normally get placed and start working in about 7 days to 30 days from the day their Interviews start.

The GEMS Admission Test (GAT) consists of 200 business aptitude questions covering areas such as English Grammar, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and General Knowledge. Students must secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify. The test has a total duration of 80 minutes.
Do I compulsorily have to go to USA to get my MBA degree or can I do it while staying in India? ▼
Yes. The program is structured for 24 months, with a mandatory USA phase. For the first 12 months, students study in Bangalore while continuing their regular work on weekdays and attending MBA classes on weekends. After completing this phase, students will move to Chicago - USA for the final 12 months to continue their studies at the Roosevelt University.

    They do have dormitory housing on campus. They also have student apartments very close to the school (5-10 minutes on foot).

    Courses at Roosevelt normally meet once a week for 3-4 hours. A student taking four classes would probably have one class each day, Monday-Thursday. They do not have business classes on Fridays.
  • 4. How is the evaluation done for a student? Will there be examinations? What would be the pattern of the examinations?
    Students can expect 2-3 examinations per class each semester along with some other small assignments. For some classes, student will write research papers instead of taking exams. Each class will be different.
  • 5. Will RU find full time job placements for students after the course during the OPT of one year?
    RU will assist students in looking for jobs, help them with interview skills, On campus Job fairs, Alumni network and even review their CVs.
  • 6. Can I work in the US after graduating, or do I have to come straight back to India?
    Graduates are eligible for 1 year + 2 year (STEM) Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the US on top of the F-1 student visa period, meaning you can legally work in the US for 3 years after finishing the MBA to land a job and further on extent your visa based on your employment sponsorship.

    Yes, Students can apply for an education loan through their bank or our education-loan partners. The loan amount and approval will depend on the student’s profile and the loan provider’s eligibility criteria.

    Visa approval is subject to the applicable U.S. immigration and student-visa requirements. Students must independently meet the requirements and obtain the appropriate visa.

    Students can typically transition into one of GEMS B School's domestic or allied MBA programs in India (such as the Industry Synergised MBA), ensuring the credits earned during Year 1 are retained and the master's degree can still be completed without academic loss.
